Geevesy stars for the Aussies

Glenorchy's first ever Australian representative, Brett Geeves starred for his country in his International Debut.

It will be remembered in many circles around the country as the day that Andrew Symonds was sent home to sort himself out, but we will know it as the day one of our own did Glenorchy proud.

Brett returned with the figures of 2/11 off 5 overs in Australia's 180-run demolition of Bangladesh in the first of three one dayers in Darwin.

Unfortunately for Geevesy, he did not take part in the Aussies last two games, but there is no doubt it was an invaluable experience for him and one we hope he will get to experience again.
